Cookie Policy

What we do with your cookies

We use cookies in a few different ways, mostly to make sure you’re getting an easy shopping experience based on what you want to see and where you want to go.  The cookies we use do not store personally identifiable information and they cannot harm your computer.  More than anything, we want our site to be a fun, user friendly place to shop and learn.  Cookies help us do that.

What are cookies?

Cookies are tiny files that hold data which our website can send to your browser.  It may then be stored on your hard drive and can later be accessed by our web server.  Again, none of the data we need is personally identifiable.  What it does tell us is how to customize your user experience so you really like spending time on our pages.

How do we use cookies?

We use a couple of analytics packages to improve your browsing experience.  Trusted companies like Google Analytics may also place cookies on your hard drive (they might be there already through their other customers). Please read their privacy policies to be sure you’re comfortable with the information they are storing and how they use those cookies.

Social Media or Third Party Cookies?

To make sure you are getting the most awesome experience possible, we sometimes will embed video or social media content on our pages from YouTube or Instagram.  When we do that, you may be presented with cookies from these websites.  We have no control or liability over these cookies sets, so you should check with those relevant third party’s to better understand their cookie policies.

How to control and delete cookies?

We all want to make sure our data is only being used in ways we are comfortable with.  We get it.  If you choose to disable cookies (and in turn, get a generic user experience.  Blah!) You are well within your rights to do so.  However, we have to warn you that some of the most awesome parts of our website may not fully function or give you the information you’re looking for.  It’s a tradeoff.  For more information on how to control cookie settings and browser settings, go to www.allaboutcookies.org.  It’s a super helpful site that will explain all of this in further detail (although not affiliated with EventsandCrafts.com).  Thanks for reading this far.  You’re a champ!
