Love is in the air! It’s the time of year for roses, chocolates, candy hearts, and Valentine’s Day parties. But don’t worry--the best thing about classic romance is that a few simple elements can go a long way when used well. So we’re here to give you a quick guide to an elegant Valentine’s Day party without the hassle!

First, lay the foundation with red fabric tablecloths (no plastic for this affair!). Be sure to press or steam them to lay flat and look sharp for your guests. Opt for smaller tables to create a more intimate setting, or set multiple tables side-by-side in long rows for a more formal feel.

Of course, no Valentine’s Day setting is complete without candles to set the mood. Pillar and taper candles are always a classic choice, but we’re big fans of floating candles set in trios of water-filled vases. You can add stones for extra flair or keep the bottoms empty. But be sure to vary the water levels (and vase height, if possible) to add extra dimension to your display.

Next, let’s talk flowers. Roses are synonymous with Valentine’s Day, making them a key element to any party. So feel free to go wild with the rose elements, combining red and white as you wish. Add long-stemmed faux roses to tall vases to create luxurious floor decorations, or set bouquets on the tables to accent the candles. The choice is yours!

Another great way to incorporate roses is with a flower heart display. Use a heart-shaped foam base and cut stems to create a simple yet eye-drawing centerpiece that will look perfect on your welcome table or buffet.

And there you go. All you need are the proper tablecloths, candles, and roses to turn any Valentine’s Day party into a romantic soiree!
