Mother’s Day is just around the corner and that means planning the perfect surprise. There are so many things we have our mothers to thank for, but most importantly, their infinite love and support. This is the one day of the year that is dedicated to mothers all around the world.
Planning a special day for your mom doesn’t have to be complicated, just narrow down the things that make her the happiest and combine them to create the perfect day. Our suggestion is a brunch specially curated for your mom and all of her favorite things! We have put together a list of a couple brunch themes and recipes to celebrate your mother.
Picnic Brunch
Everyone loves a good picnic, there is nothing better than being outdoors with good company and even better food. To make things a little more special, consider organizing a color coordinated picnic! Not only will it look great but it is an affordable way to do something special for your mother! Here’s a list of what you’ll need to pull this off:

Charcuterie Skewer Appetizers
A picnic isn’t complete without a charcuterie board; however, you can make it even more interesting with these charcuterie skewers! All you have to do is follow the recipe and then bring along a couple sticks of french bread or crackers to perfect it.

At Home Brunch
Home is where the heart is, that is something we know. Mother’s Day celebrations don’t need to be extravagant because it is the thought that truly counts. It’s time to start planning the perfect brunch at home, you’ll need a few things to make it special! We also have a few brunch recipes you might consider adding to your list.
Recipes:
Ingredients:
-6 large eggs
- 1 ¾ cups fat-free milk
-1 teaspoon sugar
-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-¼ teaspoon salt
-1 loaf of French bread, cubed
-12 oz of mixed berries
-2 tablespoons cold butter
-⅓ cup packed brown sugar
-Optional: maple syrup
Brioche with Prosciutto, Gruyère and Egg
-Six 1-inch-thick slices of brioche
-2 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus softened butter, for brushing
-6 ounces frisée, torn into bite-size pieces (3 cups)
-1/4 cup lightly packed parsley leaves
-2 scallions, thinly sliced
-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
-2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
-Kosher salt
-Freshly ground pepper
-6 large eggs
-1/2 pound Gruyère cheese, thinly sliced
-12 thin slices of prosciutto (6 ounces)
