Baby Shower Decorating—So Easy a Baby Could Do It!
•Posted on January 25 2024
Throwing a baby shower for your BFF or a family member is such a happy event. But, like any party, things can become stressful when it comes to planning and decorating. Our solution? Keep things classic with a color theme! Baby blues and pinks are always an in-style shower choice, and your guests will never know you took the easy route!
So once you know the baby’s gender, it’s time to go all in on décor in blue or pink.
Set up your food tables with cups, plates, utensils, and tablecloths, all in the appropriate color. It can be fun to add some color-themed food (think cupcakes, cake pops, and dipped pretzel rods) to carry the color scheme to every aspect of the party.
Be sure to add some dimension to your spread with decorations on the wall behind your table or ceiling overhead. We love the versatility of a simple burlap banner, but you can also deck out the space with paper fans!
Plastic pacifiers are another baby shower essential that have so many uses! Use them as little accents on your gifts or party favors. Or grab enough to play the classic pacifier baby shower game for some exciting but low-effort fun!
Of course, the mom-to-be deserves a special place to unwrap all her gifts, so make sure it’s the center of attention. Block-like balloon boxes that spell out BABY are always a hit, and you can create a balloon garland to make the place of honor pop. Bonus points if you can find a special (but comfortable) chair for her to sit in.
Last but not least, don’t forget about party favors! Baby bottles filled with little treats are always a popular choice. But if you want to think outside the box, opt for colored candles, mini succulents, or cute soaps. Your guests are more likely to use these and look back fondly on their time at the shower!
No matter what you choose, your little favors will look absolutely adorable when displayed in a miniature market cart. It’s the perfect finishing touch to bring your pink or blue theme together!
Remember, planning a baby shower for someone you love doesn’t have to be big or stressful! When in doubt, keep it simple but elegant, and you’ll never go wrong.
