A Halloween celebration is the perfect opportunity to create some delicious seasonal goodies! But you don’t have to stretch your limits to make a tasty take-home treat.

Keep things simple with beloved fall classics like candy and caramel apples, which are always a crowd favorite! And here’s a trick that’s really all treat: store them in our Candy Apple Boxes to make them look super classy while keeping them easy to take home!

Candy Apple Decorative Box

The Suburban Soapbox has a quick 30-minute recipe for classic candy apples that will take you right back to your childhood, and they can be made up to 2 days in advance!

Candy Apples

  •       2 cups granulated sugar
  •       ¼ cup corn syrup
  •       ¾ cup water
  •       ½ tsp red food coloring
  •       8 green apples
  •       8 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Insert a skewer halfway into the stem end of each apple.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and coat with cooking spray.
  3. Bring sugar, syrup, and water to a boil in a large saucepan over high heat.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add the food coloring.
  5. Continue boiling until the mixture reaches 300-310 degrees.
  6. Remove the sugar mixture and let it rest for 3 minutes.
  7. Dip the apples in the mixture and transfer to the baking sheet to cool completely before eating.

And for those who prefer the softer bite of a caramel apple, try this delicious formula from Allrecipes! It only takes 25 minutes, and you can make your apples up to 2 weeks in advance!

Caramel Apples

  •       6 apples
  •       1 14-ounce package of individually wrapped caramels
  •       2 Tbsp milk
  •       6 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Remove the stem from each apple and insert the skewer.
  2. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  3. Microwave the caramels and milk for 2 minutes and cool slightly.
  4. Roll apples in caramel sauce and place on baking sheet to set.

Carmel Candy Apples

Top your caramel apples with nuts, sprinkles, crushed candy bars, or coconut for an extra fun treat!

And voila! You can cross treats off your list and work on picking out the perfect costume!
